Openwork Partnership announces new integrated technology suite for advisers
Platform built on Plannr and Seccl, with 100+ integrations, aims to save advisers up to an hour per client case

London, 3 November 2026 – The Openwork Partnership (“Openwork”), one of the UK's largest financial advice networks, today announced a new adviser technology suite combining client relationship, advice and investment tools in a single system. The suite is built on Plannr and Seccl and will be available to early Openwork and 2plan advisers within H1 2027, with a wider regional rollout commencing from H2 2027.

The result will be faster and easier for advisers. Openwork, 2plan and Owl advisers will save up to 60 minutes on every client case, thanks to a commitment that they will enter information "once or less" in most cases, to use across the advice journey. Automated workflows, available from day one, can be fully customised to each business and adviser.

To help advisers win new customers, the suite will let them generate and track referrals, stay in touch with clients, manage family relationships, and create their own client portals with their firm logos, colour schemes and text in minutes. New potential clients can be added with just their name and email to capture early opportunities with minimum friction.

The new suite will also help keep advisers safe with timely prompts and nudges, automated checks and AI-supported issue-flagging.

Openwork has chosen to work with a range of providers, rather than be limited to what can be built in-house or is available from any one provider. Plannr, the next-generation CRM and adviser operating system for financial advice businesses, and Seccl, the Octopus-owned embedded investment platform, provide the foundation, and over 100 additional vendors are integrated on day one, meeting different adviser needs within a single, joined-up experience. If bought separately, the standard toolkit would cost each adviser over £5k per year.

Rob Barker, CEO of the Openwork Partnership, said: "Openwork's new tech will be comfortably the best on the market.  It's holistic, with one suite for mortgage, wealth and protection needs - so no more swivel-chairing, re-keying, or working on multiple systems for a single client. It helps principals grow their own businesses, with their own brand and deep client relationships. It's fully future-proof - we can plug in AI tools from any provider as they're released. This tech is purpose-built – it's not retrofitted on to an enterprise sales platform. And it's designed from the start, tested and refined with advisers, paraplanners and their teams at the heart of all we do – as you'd expect from a network majority-owned by its members."

Advisers who have seen early previews have welcomed the change.

John Katsouris DipPFS - Practice Principal:
“I know the phrase “game changer” is probably one of the most overused expressions around, but in this case, I genuinely believe it applies. This new system is going to be slick, smart and seriously impressive.

There’s a real sense that we’re on the verge of something special here. The hard work is being done, the pieces are coming together, and when it all clicks into place, I think people are going to sit up and take notice."

Paul Fell, DSNY Wealth Planning:
"I'm genuinely excited about how the lead management will support our growth ambitions."

Steve Bartholomew, CEO, St Barts Finance:
"The progress made has been highly commendable, demonstrating strong collaboration, clear strategic focus, and meaningful advancement."

Andrea Turner, Practice Manager, Prosperity:
“It’s great to know that the views of the advisers and support teams are helping shape a solution with the potential to make a significant impact on the future of advice delivery. Exciting times ahead.”

Kerry Rothwell, NFAL:
“What the team has showcased is a true end-to-end advice journey. It successfully eliminates current unstructured workflows that are manual, time consuming, and often frustrating. It delivers a much-needed seamless experience that connects every role in our business; advisers, paraplanners, and administrators.

The synergy between these roles is critical, as traditional handoffs are typically where errors, client delays and rework occur.  It provides everything we need to drive business success and secure excellent outcomes for our clients.”
