The Openwork Partnership’s unique community spirit

The Openwork Partnership’s unique community spirit is epitomised by the way its advisers and colleagues have come together to support and champion good causes in our local communities.

The Openwork Foundation is a registered UK charity that funds projects across the UK and overseas to support vulnerable people facing challenging circumstances. Our colleagues and partner firms play a vital role in helping to raise funds and champion the charities we support.

Over the last 44 years, the Foundation has raised and donated more than £23 million, making a meaningful difference to the lives of over 700,000 people. This longstanding commitment reflects the power of our community and the impact we can achieve together.

We encourage our colleagues to make a positive difference in their communities by offering up to three paid volunteering days each year.

Colleagues can use these days independently or as part of a team challenge. Many choose to support our Foundation, deliver financial education sessions in schools, or contribute their skills and expertise to local charities and community organisations. Whether it’s hands-on volunteering or sharing professional knowledge, these activities help strengthen the communities we’re proud to be part of.

We care about what we buy, and where, how, and from whom we buy it. Our goal is to work with responsible, ethical vendors who protect the planet, support their communities, and uphold high standards of social and environmental performance.

To help us identify suppliers whose values align with our own, we ask prospective partners a series of sustainability-focused questions and request evidence of their responsible business practices. This ensures we understand their approach to environmental impact, labour standards, governance and wider community considerations.

Sustainability plays a meaningful role in our decision making. When evaluating potential suppliers, 25% of the overall score is weighted towards sustainability criteria, reflecting our commitment to building an ethical and resilient supply chain.

We recognise the importance of financial wellbeing to overall wellbeing. We work closely with our charitable partners through the Openwork Foundation to make a meaningful difference to the financial wellbeing of people in our community.

We believe that our clients, colleagues and communities are best served through a strong, competitive and fair marketplace. We prohibit engaging in any anti-competitive practices or behaviours that are illegal or inconsistent with our best interests.
