London, 30 July 2026 – The Openwork Partnership ("Openwork") has today launched a new learning and development platform, powered by Thrive, from The Openwork Business School ("Business School"), designed to give advisers access to personalised, on-demand training tailored to their personal growth and business objectives.
The platform has been developed in direct response to a consistent theme in adviser feedback: learning needs to be easier to access, more relevant to individual development needs, and better integrated into the working day. Designed to meet these challenges, the new platform provides advisers with greater flexibility and faster access to customised development opportunities, with less time spent searching for the right content and more time applying it.
The platform combines AI-powered learning pathways, delivered through Openwork's AI learning assistant, Obi, with mobile-first access to deliver individualised CPD recommendations. It also provides collaborative learning spaces that allow advisers to support and learn from one another as they progress through shared programmes. Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, the platform tailors suggestions to an adviser's licence and specialty, whether that is protection, mortgage or wealth, and helps them build the specific skills relevant to their services.
The platform is built to support advisers at every stage of their career journey, complementing Openwork’s initiatives like the ‘Route to Principal’ programme and ‘Partnering for Growth’, the business leadership programme for established principals looking to scale.
The launch also comes at a pivotal time for the financial advice industry, as firms look to equip advisers with the necessary skills to succeed in an AI-enabled future. The platform will help support development in key areas including digital and AI literacy, behavioural coaching, relationship-building and adaptability, with content mapped against the Financial Services Skills Commission's Future Skills Framework so advisers can identify their own strengths and target areas for growth.
Ed Bailey, Principal of The Openwork Business School, said: "Advisers have their hands full, balancing client meetings, compliance responsibilities and business development with little time and resources available for their own development. That’s why Thrive will be critical to allowing advisers to develop and learn in the flow of their daily work while building a personalised pathway around their own goals.”
"The pace of change in our industry means the skills advisers need are evolving quickly, and learning and development has to catch up with them. Our brand-new learning platform enables a transparent way to bring together everything the Business School offers, from qualifying as an adviser through to becoming a principal and beyond, and to make sure every adviser's development is genuinely tailored to them."
