The Openwork Partnership, one the UK’s largest financial services networks, today announces the addition of Royal London to its protection panel. Royal London adds to Openwork’s already diverse and strong protection panel, with eight core providers to meet advisers growing client demand for products and services in the market.
The panel review, which happens every 5 years, encompassed a detailed assessment of all facets of existing and potential providers propositions, including their product offering, service delivery, technology, governance processes, financial strength, adviser support and marketing. The regular review enables The Openwork Partnership to ensure the panel continues to provide network members with access to the very best of what’s available in the market.
Pleasingly, the existing protection panel members all performed well in the review and have retained their position on panel. The refreshed protection panel now comprises Aviva, Guardian, Legal & General, LV=, Royal London, The Exeter, Vitality and Zurich, with MetLife for Accident and Children’s plans.
Royal London has been carefully selected for its profile, and reputation for delivering high-quality protection solutions to clients.
Paul Shearman, Mortgage & Protection Proposition Director at The Openwork Partnership, said: “Royal London is a great brand with an impressive protection proposition, making the already strong panel even more compelling, and adds important solutions to the diverse needs of the market.
Furthermore Royal London boasts innovative technology, backed by strong expertise in the space of high-net-worth individuals, wealth and business protection, all of which are areas Openwork are keen to enhance and progress. Royal London was the one player our advisers regularly requested, so I know their addition will be hugely well received”
Siobhan Barrow, UK Distribution Director at Royal London said: “We’re very happy to join the Openwork Partnership protection panel and our team are looking forward to helping the advisers offer a range of personal and business protection solutions best suited to their client needs.
As we approach the first anniversary of the Consumer Duty, we are seeing the demand for protection advice and products continue to grow as it becomes more and more an integral part of the advice process. It’s an exciting time for protection advice, creating positive outcomes for clients and new opportunities for advisers.”
