The Proposition Team and friends are walking the Cotswold Way in memory of their much-loved colleague and friend Angie Maddams who sadly passed away on Sunday 15 October.
Angie joined The Openwork Partnership in 1986 and spent over a decade working with the Proposition team. In memory of Angie, the Proposition Team are walking the challenging 102-mile Cotswold Way over 7 days, from the 16th to the 22nd of June to raise funds for The Openwork Foundation.
Here are the highlights from day three
Walked by Colin Tate and Daryl George.
''Setting off from Winchcombe in glorious sunshine the 3 amigos had an 11 mile day ahead. A mixture of grassy slopes, woodland and winding paths saw them take in the Belas Knap Long Barrow and Cleeve Hill summit, the latter being the highest point of the Cotswold Way at 330m. The views were spectacular and perfect for a lunchtime pitstop.
The clouds came over in the afternoon to cool the descent down to Dowdeswell, but the few spots of rain could not dampen the mood of what was a fantastic day.
Proud to take a small part in the bigger challenge, and carry Angie’s spirit with us. Good luck to those who follow.
Much love from Daryl, Colin and Milo the border collie x''
