Mystery shoppers from The Openwork Partnership had a fantastic day at Old Spitalfields Market, London last week, where innovation met inspiration! 50 student companies took part in a Young Enterprise programme which showcased their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.
With stalls selling self-watering plant pots and pencils made of newspaper to fire logs crafted from recyclable materials and a clever device which transformed citrus fruits to a spray, there was plenty to explore and buy. It was great to see the hard work and enthusiasm of the young people first hand.
Young Enterprise is one of The Openwork Foundation’s national charity partners, receiving £50,000 per year over three years to support their work to reduce youth unemployment and help young people realise their potential. We also support their activities with members of the Partnership volunteering their time to support Young Enterprise programmes across the UK.
