The Openwork Partnership is pleased to announce the appointment of Mehdi Kadhim as Chief Executive Officer of Omnis Investments, the Partnership’s investment business. Mehdi will assume the role on 17 November, having previously been at Royal London where he was Group Chief Transformation Officer prior to which he was CEO of Santander Asset Management UK.
With over £11bn assets under management, Omnis provides in-house investment solutions to both the Openwork adviser network and its fast-growing IFA network, 2plan. This includes its new flagship MPS proposition, Omnis Agility, an innovative range of portfolios blending active funds and ETFs.
Robert Jeffree chose to step down as CEO of Omnis in order to focus his expertise in delivering a new range of investment propositions planned for 2026.
Mehdi Kadhim comments, “I am excited to be joining Omnis, working with the team and the wider Openwork Partnership Executive Committee to contribute to the group’s ambitious growth strategy. I have long admired Omnis and the exceptional progress the business has experienced over the past few years. The breadth and depth of the team’s talent coupled with their strong investment capabilities make it a potent offering for Openwork advisers and clients and I look forward to leading its strategic growth.”
CEO, Rob Barker adds, “I am delighted to welcome Mehdi to my executive team. Omnis will play a crucial role in the next phase of Openwork’s growth strategy in which we are supported by Bain Capital. Robert Jeffree has revitalised the Omnis service and proposition during his tenure and I am pleased that he will stay on to support Mehdi in taking Omnis to another level”.
