When we refer to sustainability, it incorporates four main groups: Our clients, our communities, our Partnership (advisers and colleagues), and the planet. We are committed to safeguarding and improving the lives of these groups. This commitment is deeply embedded in our values - the basis on how we conduct ourselves, our business and our role within the community.

Over the next three years, we are raising the bar of how we behave and operate in our Partnership, ensuring that the net impact we have on the world is a brighter one.

Within The Openwork Partnership we have a working group, dedicated to furthering our sustainability efforts. We have set ourselves ambitious sustainability targets and we maintain and implement effective initiatives in the hope of inspiring others to do the same.

We have broadly categorised our sustainability efforts into 3 key areas of focus

We call these the pillars of our sustainability strategy:

  • Sustainable Advice
  • Working together as a knowledge sharing network
  • Being a responsible business

Sustainable Advice

Ensuring that the wishes of our current and future clients can be met, by considering sustainability across the advice process and by offering a proposition that not only meets their financial needs but aligns with their values.

Being a knowledge sharing network

Across our Partnership, helping our 700+ firms implement sustainable practices in their own businesses and encouraging each firm to take accountability for their role in generating greater change as a collective.

Being a responsible business

Considering what we can do in our head office to be a better company, encompassing how we care for our colleagues (DWI), and how we hold ourselves accountable through our governance.

A fundamental part of this is supporting the Openwork Foundation, to change lives and make a difference to vulnerable communities.

In all aspects of our business, we ensure that we know the legal requirements and comply with them. We have an unwavering commitment to fair and responsible business conduct.
